Elster Metering Limited, part of Elster Group, a world leader in advanced metering infrastructure, integrated metering, and utilisation solutions to the gas, electricity and water industries announces the launch of the V200/V210 polymer volumetric water meter.
Elster Metering has further enhanced its highly successful range of volumetric meters by introducing the V200/V210 polymer meter. Approved to the latest European Directive 2004/22/EC and new EN, ISO and OIML standards, the Elster V200/V210 polymer meter offers a combination of accuracy, reliability and communications.
"As water consumption has increased in recent years, the demand for high-accuracy metering has also grown. The V200/V210 polymer has been specifically designed to set new standards without compromising on key performance issues such as accuracy, reliability and communications," commented Elster’s Marketing Manager, Perry Shead.
Elster has pioneered the manufacture of polymer bodied water meters, with over a million meters installed in some of the harshest environments worldwide. Developing on this unrivalled expertise, the V200/V210 polymer meter combines the robustness of advanced polymer technology with the established market leadership of Elster.
Initially available with a permanent flow rate Q3 of 2.5 cubic metres per hour and flow rate turndown ratio Q3/Q1 = 400. The product features tamper-proof registers, sealed to prevent condensation. When equipped with a PR6 inductive pulser, the meter can easily be integrated into any level of meter management system. The product also has very low headloss compared to competitive meters, resulting in a significant reduction in network leakage and pumping costs.
The V200/V210 polymer meter, with an extended flow performance, also significantly reduces environmental impact during manufacture.
