Metering systems (AMR)
Many utilities today are installing the most advanced reading technologies available: walk-by, drive-by or fixed network radio frequency reading systems. RF systems offer the lowest meter reading cost available while improving accuracy by eliminating human data entry error. Radio systems eliminate the need for meter access, which equates to improved efficiency and reduced exposure to hazardous reading environments.   Electronic on-site reading significantly reduces reading cost compared to manual reading and data entry systems while eliminating keypad and recording errors. Either pit or inside-set meters can be read from a conveniently mounted reading pad for faster reading and reduced site danger for meter readers.
