ME21 and NE21, respectively two and three-wire single phase electromechanical watt-hour meters, are a result of a long evolution of designs, using technologies developed by Elster metering engineering teams around the world. These modern, lightweight meters feature a number of improvements in component and enclosure design, creating a precision and stable instrument with special anti-tampering characteristics. Thanks to extensive material research, ME21/NE21 meters are friendly to the environment, meeting the requirements of the ISO 14000 standard.

Excellent load curve performance is achieved throughout the extended current ranges, meeting all normal requirements of IEC class 2.0 accuracy. Conformance of load curves at 1.0 and 0.5 power factors assure accurate registration over widely varying reactive power conditions. Operation at extended temperature ranges is kept accurate thanks to superior temperature compensation in all key components.
